Our special guest Laila Naji is a high school senior at Dana hills High School California. She has served several leadership positions in Rotary District 5320 and is now the Interact Governor for that district in Orange County Ca.Laila is highly involved in her school's Associated Student Body and has held multiple positions such as graphic designer marketing, VP, President pep rally commissioner and many more for over 8 years.  She is involved currently in assisting Afghan refugees and orphans. She excels in sports in cross country, track and field and worked at Lifetime Fitness at the Kids Academy learning to with kids of all ages.The show is excited to feature Laila on this great episode and hope to inspire and encourage other young adults to pursue their passions and growth in outreach.

Season 2 Episode 15 Sophie Anderson

Sophie Andersen is an incoming freshman at the Georgia Institute of Technology who will be majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in public policy or political science.
Sophie grew up in a home that prioritized service and encouraged STEM endeavors and these focuses have shaped her path thus far. Recognizing that many of her peers struggle to find opportunities to volunteer or work outside of school (especially if their parents do not have connections with local organizations or businesses), Sophie founded ENGAGE, an organization catalyzing these connections and fostering-civic minded students. She also is a proud member of Rotary District 5320 where she innovates youth service in Orange County as the Interact Governor and empowers high school students to take an active role in serving a larger community.
STEM is also an essential component of her life, and she enjoys her time working in a biotechnology lab at school where she prepares labs and guides students through experiments. She looks forward to this summer when she will be one of three students from California attending the National Youth Science Camp, a 3-week all-expense paid camp in West Virginia for the future leaders in STEM.
